Hi, will Happily Ever fireworks still be shown on non-event days in December? If so, are there dining events that guarantee a good viewing site? Trying to decide the best order to visit parks for our honeymoon planning around holiday parties, thank you!

    Hi there, Diana!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be celebrating your very own happily ever after with a honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World Resort!  I think it's very fitting that you're hoping to enjoy a performance of the beloved nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After, during your honeymoon, and it's my pleasure to help you with your plans.

Currently, the show schedule for Happily Ever After is only listed through the end of November.  I recommend you keep checking the hours and events calendar as you get closer to your trip to see when those December show dates are added.  While there's no set rule as to when the schedules are updated, in my experience, most event and show schedules are available approximately 60 days in advance.

The holiday season kicks off at Walt Disney World Resort in early November with the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the year.  Throughout the month of November, the Happily Ever After fireworks show is scheduled for nights when there is no special holiday event at Magic Kingdom Park.  While we don't yet know for certain, I think there's a good chance that we will see this scheduling trend continue throughout the remainder of the holiday season as well.

If Happily Ever After is indeed scheduled for non-event dates in December, you should have a few different options for dining events that provide reserved viewing for the show.  On most nights that Happily Ever After is performed, various dessert parties are offered that provide fireworks views that are practically perfect in every way.  The Seats & Sweets dessert party option allows Guests to enjoy a variety of desserts and beverages in the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.  Guests can then enjoy Happily Ever After from the comfort of their dessert party table in the restaurant.

There are also Pre-Party and Post-Party fireworks dessert party options.  Guests who book one of these parties will enjoy the same treats and beverages at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant that are included in the Seats & Sweets party.  The desserts will be offered either before or after the fireworks show, depending on which party option you reserve.  For both the pre and post-party, Guests will enjoy Happily Ever After from a reserved viewing area in the Plaza Garden.  While you won't have a seat during the show, in my opinion, the Plaza Garden is the best spot for viewing Happily Ever After.

Fireworks dessert parties are typically available to reserve 60 days in advance or shortly after.  Since these events book quickly, I recommend checking for availability 60 days prior to your arrival date.  If you're unable to purchase admission for a fireworks dessert party, you could also look into dining at California Grill.  This top-notch restaurant offers gorgeous views of the fireworks as well.

Congratulations on your happily ever after!
