Greetings Katherine and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I absolutely love
Happily Ever After! I never, ever leave Magic Kingdom Park in the evening without watching it. Last year I visited with my family, and my then 6-year-old daughter was so tired that my husband ended up taking her back to our Disney Resort hotel while I stayed to enjoy this breathtaking nighttime spectacular.
Considering that you are visiting in August during summer vacation, I believe that you will definitely enjoy Happily Ever After Dessert Party. Many guests start securing a viewing spot around Cinderella Castle even 2 hours prior to show time, and it gets extremely busy and crowded around the castle and all through Main Street U.S.A. Since you are traveling with 2 small children and a baby, and will most likely bring a stroller, I highly recommend making reservations for
Happily Ever After Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. I also recommend this for parties visiting with elderly family members.
You will have the chance to arrive 75 minutes prior to fireworks showtime, relax, and enjoy delicious treats and beverages – which is a much better way to spend your time instead of lokking for a spot to watch the fireworks with your kids. The party takes place at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, and as showtime nears Cast Members will escort you and your family to a standing area in the Plaza Garden for priority viewing. I am visiting with my family in December and will definitely make reservations – hopefully my daughter will stay awake this time!
I hope this helps you while planning! Please stop by real soon if you have additional questions.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
