Hi moms! By happenstance my son will celebrate his 7th BDAY at MK. It will also be our family's 1st trip and we have 2 other girls 5 and2. Im excited for my DS to spend his day at DW and of course incorporate that. Any advice doing that on budget?

    Hi Janette,

First trips are extra magical in my opinion.  How exciting that your family's first Walt Disney World vacation overlaps with your pirate's seventh birthday!  You won't need to do or spend much to make him feel super special.  First, I'd recommend picking up some free "first visit" buttons for your entire family at Guest Relations at whichever park you visit first.  While you are there, be sure to get a "Happy Birthday" button for your son and have him wear it.  You'll be surprised how many cast members and guests wish him a magical day!  If you have made any advanced dining reservations for the big day, you may consider having a birthday cake delivered to your table.  You can order a custom cake (they range from small, simple and festive, to elaborate confectionary creations) by calling the Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253.  I think a character meal is a fantastic way to make birthdays extra special.  Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace are two of my favorite places to celebrate.  If you are interested in booking a meal, be sure to make reservations up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

I hope your family has a wonderful trip, and that your son has a perfect Disney birthday!
