What happens if you're at Typhoon Lagoon and there is a thunder storm? Will they close the park or just ask everyone to get out of the water until it passes?

    Hi Candance!
The short answer is...it depends. Certain times of year, there can be terrible weather, but it passes in 10 minutes. Other times of year, a storm system can sit over Walt Disney World for several days. In the event of bad weather, the lifeguards on duty will instruct guests to clear the water, and will then give further instructions if the park will be closing or if guests just need to seek temporary cover because the storm apppears to be blowing through quickly.
Due to the fickle nature of Florida weather, and how quickly it can go from bad-good or goood-bad-good again, it is not usually necessary to close a water park for an entire day. Obviously, guest safety will always take priority, but water parks rarrely close for an entire day.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical day!! :)
