Welcome back to planDisney, Rebecca! Are you getting so excited for your trip to Walt Disney World? With just about a month to go, it's a great time to start making your final plans and get your ducks in a row.
Rebecca, it is very rare for a theme park to close for any reason. It typically only ever happens in the event of extreme weather, like a hurricane, and even that has only happened a handful of times in the last few decades. Like I said, it's exceedingly rare! In the unlikely event that there is a closure during your trip next month, you will receive instructions on what you can do with your tickets. Typically, the use window for your tickets will be extended so you can use them at another time, but any number of solutions may be offered to meet the requirements of the specific situation. Still, the exact details will be provided to you through email or the
My Disney Experience app if for some reason this happens during your trip.
February is one of my favorite times to go to Disney World because the weather is typically cool and clear so it's perfect for spending lots of time outside. You'll also be visiting during one of my favorite festivals: the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! It's a big celebration of art in all its forms including my favorite art form,
the culinary arts. Be sure to make some time to visit the Food Studios and have a Soft Shell Crab Slider at CommuniCore Plaza for me!
I hope this answers your question, Rebecca, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
