Hello, Tony! Thanks so much for dropping by planDisney and allowing us to answer your question about tickets and reservations. Let's get you an answer!
If you have a reservation booked for a standard theme park ticket and end up not being able to make it, that's okay! Your ticket is still valid. You do not have to cancel your reservation ahead of time. However, if you can cancel it, it is a nice gesture as that opens up the reservation for another Guest to enjoy.
If you want to use your ticket another time you will need to check on two things. The first thing to check is if it's a 1-day ticket. This would mean that your ticket was originally purchased for a particular day, which means it has a particular tier level. So you need to make sure that the new date you want to visit is the same tier or lower, otherwise, you will need to upgrade your ticket for the appropriate tier. The second step would be to make a new
theme park ticket reservation for the new day you want to visit. You must have both a valid ticket and a theme park ticket reservation to enter the parks. I find the easiest way to check what day is what tier is to head to the
ticket page and pretend like you are purchasing a 1-day ticket and you will be able to see all the prices and tiers for the next few months.
Tony, thanks again for stopping by! I hope you can find a time to visit Disneyland Resort soon!
