What happens when there is a thunderstorm as forecast for this Easter Sunday. Will the park close?

Hi Michael! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

I took a look at the forecast for you this morning. While there is a chance of rain at certain points in the day, it appears like you might get lucky. I'd suggest you take a look at the forecast too, pack a poncho or raincoat, rain-resistant shoes or an extra pair of socks, and an extra layer since it can feel colder when it rains. Prepare for spring rains and hope for sunshine! You'll have a great time regardless because it's the Happiest Place on Earth even during a shower or two.

Disneyland Resort can close early due to weather conditions. This has happened on rare occasions. If you're concerned your park day will be interrupted because of significant weather, watch the forecast, the Disneyland mobile app, and pay attention to the instructions given to you by Cast Members throughout the day. Feel free to drop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park for more information at any point during your visit. They're always happy to help.

There should be plenty to do even if it is raining. While some Attractions temporarily can't safely operate in the rain, most continue to function normally. A rainy episode also could be the perfect time for an indoor experience or a quick snack in one of the dining locations with indoor seating! I always find myself shopping for merchandise when I want to escape a downpour. It's the perfect excuse.

I'm hoping--no, hopping--you have blue skies for your special park day!
