Welcome to planDisney, Prince James!
I'm glad that I saw your question because, as it turns out, I have the exact same one! My One True Love and I are planning an evening of play and romance at the
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite event next Tuesday, when it is also scheduled to rain. So it's a good idea to be ready for the
drip drip drop of little February Showers.
When it rains in Disneyland, sometimes certain attractions must close. But rest assured that the magic will mostly flow as usual, just a little soggier. So, pack your slicker or poncho to keep that
princely attire pristine, opt for quick-dry shoes, and stash an extra pair of socks for comfort. Remember, the cozier you feel, the more enchanting the evening becomes!.
I get it, James—those character and themed photo ops are the stuff of romance. It sounds like you've got your heart set on at least a few of these (and so do I!). The
Disney PhotoPass photographers will be weaving their magic on your night as they do every night. By rain or by moonlight, they'll be sure to make all our dreams come true. That being said, for the comfort of Cast Members, it might be necessary to pause photography due to weather conditions. You can hop out of line if you prefer to stay dry, but if it's a must-do for you, you can wait it out. I know that my Prince Charming and I will need to visit with Belle and Beast in
Fantasyland, and since there are many nooks and places to take partial cover, there's a great chance that our favorite prince and princess won't need to head back home to their castle.
If photography takes a rain check, fear not! Countless other enchanting experiences are awaiting you. Expect shorter waits for attractions, entertaining shows,
charming keepsakes to take home, and more
special menu items than you possibly have room for on one night! And James, I took a look at the availability of
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite Dining Packages, and as I write this, I can see several reservations for your night! My hubby and I are planning to dine at
Café Orleans to start the night off. I imagine it will make the evening even more special.
Well James, this is the night, and the heavens are right, so I'm sending you all my best wishes for a
Bella Notte with you and your Happily Ever After!
See ya real soon!
