What happens if a ride is shutdown (I.e. During a thunderstorm) during your fastpass time? Will the fastpass still be valid when the ride reopens? We arrive in 6 days and they are calling for lots of rain. Thank you!

    Hi Jason,

If an attraction is temporarily shut down during the time in which you have a FastPass+ selection you will be notified by email what are your choices.  In the past when this has happened to me my choices were either different FastPass+ selections for my choice of several other attractions during the same time period or to return to the closed attraction later that same day when it was operational again.  If one of your FastPass+ selection attractions is closed but you did not receive an email (or do not have access to it) the Cast Members at the closed attraction will have all the information you need and can help you.

Personally I love experiencing the theme parks when it rains!  I always bring inexpensive ponchos with me in my bag so when it starts to rain my family puts them on and off we go!  I love how the rain brings the summer temperatures down a bit and also the crowd levels seem to thin.  If I am planning a vacation during an especially wet time period not only do I pack rain ponchos but I also like to pack a swimmer's towel and extra socks/clothes in a plastic zip close bag.  My family typically dresses with wicking material in the summertime but we find it is especially important to do so when we expect rain.  Many times my children have worn swim trunks/shorts and shirts to the parks and have enjoyed splashing around in the rain.

Have a Splashtastic vacation Jason!  Please let us know if we can help you further with your Disney vacation planning.  We are always happy to help.
