What happens if a ride closes due to storms, but you’ve already scanned your fast pass?

Hi there, Edward! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan another visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

With its location in beautiful Central Florida, Walt Disney World Resort is often a gorgeous setting for a vacation filled with sun and tropical temperatures! However, there are times in which the weather is a bit unpredictable and inconvenient! My family and I experienced this phenomenon during our recent stay in July. The morning started out with temperate temperatures but rapidly changed to thunderstorms in the afternoon. Fortunately, we had backup plans to deal with this shift and still had a fun-filled afternoon visiting various shopping locations at Disney Springs!

The majority of attractions at Walt Disney World Resort are, fortunately, built in a way that allows them to operate regardless of the weather. However, there are some attractions that may be subject to closure during inclement weather. If an attraction is closed due to inclement weather, Guests will receive a FastPass+ experience valid for the rest of the day. Scanning your FastPass+ reservation should not impact this but, if it does, be sure to stop by a Guest Relations location and speak with a Cast Member. They should be able to assist you in remedying the situation and getting onto your next magical experience!

Have fun continuing to plan for your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
