Hi Paola!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I see that your trip is coming up this summer. Summer months are definitely known for rain showers in Central Florida. We just returned from there and experienced the normal daily rain that we have grown to expect. It's definitely not a big deal and can even work to your advantage!
For the most part, not much will change if it rains during your
Walt Disney World vacation. A few outdoor attractions and parades may be shut down during the rain, but there are plenty of indoor attractions, restaurants and shopping locations to keep you busy. If you check the forecast in advance, you can even plan your day around the weather. Many people choose to leave the parks when it rains, so if you don't mind getting a little wet, it can actually make the parks less crowded for you! You might want to throw a poncho in your luggage, or you can purchase one once you arrive. They are a bit more expensive, but hold up well for at least a week of use.
Central Florida is also home to an occasional hurricane. This is a bit different than the typical rain storm. You can find the
Walt Disney World hurricane policy information at this link. I hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
