Hi Karen!
Welcome back to planDisney.
Thank you for sending this important question about dining reservations.
As you know,
dining reservations may be made up to 60 days in advance, and are definitely recommended for the most sought-after locations. When you make your reservation, you'll need to add your credit card details. This is for a late, or no-show, when you may incur a charge.
If one person on your dining reservation cannot make it, you can still keep the reservation but there may be a charge of $10 (
subject to change), unless you can modify your booking up to 2 hours beforehand. In fact, there may be charge of $10 for every person who doesn't show up, or if you arrive late. However, this is always down to the discretion of each restaurant. They may not charge for just 1 person not attending the meal, but they are entitled to do so if they want to, as per the terms & conditions outlined in your booking confirmation email. Modifications can be made on your My Disney Experience app.
Some restaurants have different cancellation policies, so please check the details here.
Enjoy your Disney dining!, and please come back to planDisney if you have any further questions. We are always happy to help!
Sue
