Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Marilyn!
While no one ever wants to think about having to cancel a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, it's sensible to consider what might happen to your tickets if something prevented you from traveling to Orlando. I can tell you what happened to my parents' theme park tickets a few years ago when my mother became very ill before a much anticipated trip. Since her tickets had been linked to her
My Disney Experience account but had not been activated by entering a theme park, she was able to click "Reassign Ticket" and give them to someone else on her Family & Friends list so they did not go to waste. If you do not wish to reassign your tickets to someone else, you certainly have the option to use them yourself on your next trip as long as that trip would fall before their expiration date.
Did you purchase your tickets, Marilyn, as part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package? If so, check with your travel agent or the Walt Disney Travel Company to familiarize yourself with the cancellation policy on your vacation package. Then you will understand under what circumstances you would be able to get a refund for your tickets.
Here's hoping you'll never have to cancel your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Wishing you good health and safe travels,
Jill
