What happens if you miss a reservation

Hey there, Robert! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I see you’re just a few sleeps away from your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Robert, Star Command tells me that for Magic Key Holders, the “no show” policy is if you miss three theme park reservations within a 90-day period, you will not be able to make a new reservation for 30 days. Existing reservations will not be impacted. For Magic Key Holders, a theme park reservation can be cancelled up to 11:59 p.m. the day before arrival.

For regular ticket holders, there is no formal “no show” policy, but out of consideration for other Mouseketeers eager to visit the parks, it is strongly encouraged to cancel a theme park reservation you will not be able to use, to make way for others wanting to experience the magic that day.

For dining reservations, Guests need to cancel at least 24 hours prior to the reservation to avoid a per person cancellation fee.

As you can see, Disneyland Resort offers a great deal of flexibility to Guests to cancel theme park and dining reservations, knowing that Guests’ plans can change. This is the very reason I recommend that when a reservation you want isn’t available, it’s a good idea to keep checking as something can magically pop up! A few days ago I couldn't find a table at Lamplight Lounge for my trip in March, then yesterday I happened to check the Disneyland mobile app and snagged an open reservation!

Robert, enjoy your visit to infinity and beyond! We are eternally grateful you stopped by.
