    What happens when Mickey's Backyard BBQ is cancelled due to inclement weather? We are preparing to book our dining experiences for December 2011 and want to make sure we are prepared in that event. Thank you!

    Hi Jenifer,

    I am not exactly sure how it works with Mickey's Backyard BBQ, but I can tell you that Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show at the Polynesian has this same cancellation policy due to severe or inclement weather and if the refund policy at Mickey's Backyard BBQ is similar to this show, then there are a few varying factors.  It depends on if they cancel the whole dinner and show (in which case Guest Relations will credit you for the missed opportunity).  Sometimes you will be able to eat dinner while they hope the weather will blow over so the show may go on still and if the show ends up still being cancelled, but you have had the dinner part then they will refund half of the cost of the dinner show because you were able to enjoy part of it at least.  I have experienced both of these scenarios at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show in past years, but for the exact refund policy (whether you are using the Dining Plan or "paying out of pocket") for any of the Dinner Shows at WDW, I would call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 to get the correct and up to date information (especially as policies, etc... are subject to change).  Hope this helps!
