What happens if you are late to (or worse, miss) a dining reservation?

    Hi Molly!

Congratulations on your fast-approaching Walt Disney World vacation!

If you arrive late to an Advance Dining Reservation, simply approach the hostess stand and advise them of your late arrival, and original reservation time. They'll be able to check back in the system to confirm your reservation and will then advise you if they are still able to accommodate your party. This will possibly depend on your party size, restaurant's capacity for the evening, and just how late you are.

In most cases, your name will be re-inserted into the seating queue in accordance with the time you've arrived for check-in (not by your original, 'booked' time) and you'll be seated at the next available table for your party size.

If you completely miss a reservation, nothing will 'happen' unless it was a reservation that required a credit card guarantee. Where this is the case, a 'per person' penalty fee will apply and be charged to your card on file. Consult your individual reservations online or visit each dining location's page on the Disney Dining Reservations page of the website to review policies for the restaurants you have reserved.

Keep in mind that it is requested & recommended that you arrive to check in for dining, 15 minutes prior to your reservation time.

Wishing you a Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Molly!
