What happens if my disability won’t let me walk long distances. Can you rent some type of scooter or bring your own?

Hello Arthur, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so happy that you've taken the time to stop by planDisney with such an important question for us to help you with today.

With Walt Disney World Resort property spanning some 40+ square miles, I can certainly understand your very valid concerns about being able to traverse such a large expanse of ground on foot.  But, Hakuna Matata Arthur!  You really will have no worries as Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort with Mobility Disabilities are able to discover many helpful accommodations such as Wheelchair Rentals and Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) Rentals too.

In addition to bringing your own wheelchair from home, wheelchairs can also be rented daily or for a length-of-stay duration on a first-come-first-served basis from the Disney Theme Parks, Disney Springs, or from the Disney Water Parks.  Disney also has a featured provider with whom Guests can rent wheelchairs, ECVs, and strollers too, and for your convenience, details of Disney's current featured provider can be found within this handy link.

Guests are more welcome to bring their own Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) to use during their vacation to the most magical place on earth.  Again, ECVs are indeed available to rent on a daily first-come-first-served basis at the Disney Theme Parks, Disney Springs, and the Disney Water Parks, but at this time, are not available direct from Disney as a length-of-stay rental.

And lastly, I thought it might be helpful to know it's always possible to contact Disney Disability Services direct via this useful email address: disability.services@disneyparks.com

Arthur, I hope I've been able to provide a little insight for you today.  Please don't hesitate to drop back to me here at planDisney if you should have any further questions concerning an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
