What happens if you are carry a backpack when it comes to riding on the rides at magic kingdom? Is there a place to store them while we ride?

    Hi Loris,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question!

I'm very happy to hEAR you are considering storage options for your backpack while enjoying the attractions at Magic Kingdom Park. I've found you can bring an average-sized backpack on every single ride there. For example, on attractions like Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Haunted Mansion and Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, simply place the backpack on the floor in front of you. On the more thrilling coasters such as Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, I recommend placing the backpack on the floor in front of you with a foot through the straps. That will ensure that it won't fall off the ride.

If you'd rather not have to worry about carrying your backpack throughout the theme park, I suggest using one of the Locker Rentals spaces. You'll find them just past the park entrance, on the right, just before walking under the train station.

Disney Mom Tip: Please check to be sure that your backpack is within the size requirements of restricted personal items.

I hope this was helpful information, Loris. If you have any other questions, please come back to visit us again. My Moms Panel friends and I will be more than happy to spread a little pixie-dust on all your vacation plans.

Wishing you an unforgettable vacation at the place where The Magic is Endless!
