Hi Diana! Welcome to planDisney.
You are less than one month away from your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Do you have a countdown going?
My fellow panelists and I share our ideas for creative and fun trip countdowns in our Panel Extras, and I think it’s such a fun way to get excited about Mickey-shaped treats, character sightings, and all our favorite attractions.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting in touch with your travel agent, especially when you need to pay your balance. Is the agent part of a larger agency? If so, I would recommend getting in touch with a supervisor or the agency owner. Let them know you need to make your final payment and the agent has been unresponsive.
Because some agencies handle things differently, I do recommend checking in
My Disney Experience to see if you can see the option to make a payment. Look at your “My Plans” page and then your resort hotel reservation details. If you can see a “Make Payment” option underneath the reservation details (it may not be there at all if using a travel agent, or greyed out), you may be able to make the payment yourself. It’s worth checking.
If you’ve tried that unsuccessfully and still can’t reach anyone to help you, you’ll need to
call the Disney Reservations Center at (407) 939-1936. This is tricky because when you sign the agreement with your travel agent, you agree to let them handle all transactions with Disney. Explain to the Cast Member that you would like to make your final payment to ensure your plans aren’t canceled and that your agent has been unresponsive. They should be able to help you determine your next steps. I spoke with a Cast Member who said that sometimes they are unable to see reservations made by a third party in their system, but they will do their best to assist you if you call.
Diana, I’m hoping that you’ve already heard from your agent and everything is squared away. If not, I hope this helps and that you’re able to get this taken care of quickly so you can focus on counting down to your best days ever! If we can help as you make your final plans, please come back and see us.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
