Hi Valerie, welcome to planDisney!
That is a great question! When a Guest cancels their
theme park reservation, the reservation then becomes available for other Guests to book! Theme park reservation availability is fluid and constantly being updated as Guests can change their reservations themselves from their
Disneyland Resort account. Once a Guest has canceled their current reservation, they are free to book a new reservation at a different date and theme park!
And the GREAT thing about the Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets is that they are valid until their stated expiration date! But what happens if your tickets expire you might wonder? Mickey and his pals got you covered! Per Disney's
eTicket Terms & Conditions, any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park tickets (except for special event tickets or tickets purchased from a third party), can be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket in equal or greater value to what was paid for the original ticket.
AND, if you are unsure of your ticket's expiration date, I can give you a quick walkthrough to find out. First, you will need to open up your
Disneyland Mobile App, click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner, and select "Tickets and Passes". You should see your ticket there with the expiration date. Super easy right?
And before I let you go, I have to tell you some exciting news! The Disneyland Resort is bringing back its nighttime spectaculars this spring on April 22, 2022! The
Main Street Electrical Parade and
Disneyland Forever fireworks will be returning to
Disneyland Park, and
World of Color will be returning to
Disney California Adventure Park! These nighttime experiences are some of my favorites, so I’m ecstatic about this, and you should be too!
