Greetings, Shannon! Thank you so much for visiting planDisney and for sharing this question with us. I'll be happy to help!
I'm sorry to hear that plans have changed, and you'll need to cancel your
park reservation for Disney California Adventure Park next month. The good news is that standard tickets generally have great flexibility already built in. So long as your ticket is still valid, you can simply cancel your park reservation and reschedule for a future date that works better for you. You should be able to do this within your MyDisney account by using the "
My Plans" feature and locating your existing reservation, then selecting cancel or modify to follow the prompts. If you have a multi-day ticket, you'll want to do this for each of the visit days that need to be rescheduled. If you currently hold a
1-Day ticket, you'll need to select a new date that corresponds to the same
ticket Tier, or visit Guest Services to request a ticket upgrade to a new Tier that accommodates the date you wish to visit.
Shannon, you may have another option if you cannot reschedule your visit within the ticket's expiration date. For wholly-unused, expired tickets, Guests may be able to
request to apply the price paid toward a new ticket purchase of equal or greater value. This would typically extend the expiration date so that you have some more time to arrange travel plans, accordingly. In this case, I recommend calling the
Tickets line to speak with a Cast Member who can explain the options available to you.
I hope this is useful information, Shannon. If we can assist with anything else as your plans continue to come together, please don't hesitate to reach out to
planDisney. We're always ready to help you with your Disneyland Resort vacation plans!
Magically yours,
Tishra
