Hey there, Denisse!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your great
Walt Disney World Resort planning question. It looks like your family is just days away from an exciting visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm thankful for the opportunity to help you plan a memorable day at
Magic Kingdom Park for your family. Now, before you finalize those last few vacation plans, let's discuss your options for experiencing
TRON Lightcycle / Run!
Denisse, at this time, the newest Tomorrowland attraction is available to Guests via virtual queue or individual
Lightning Lane entry selection. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be granted for unused individual Lightning Lane selections. Therefore, I recommend attempting to secure places for your family members in the
virtual queue beginning at 7:00 a.m. on the day of your visit to Magic Kingdom Park. If your initial attempt is unsuccessful, you may attempt again at 1:00 p.m. from inside the theme park. I encourage you to try the virtual queue method vs. individual Lightning Lane purchase, as you won't be out anything if your kiddos decide to skip out on the experience!
I just returned from a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation with my own family and we were able to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This was the second time I've ridden the attraction, but the first time I've experienced it after dark. If you're able to ride the attraction during the daytime and your kids enjoy it, consider purchasing individual Lightning Lane entry for the evening hours, as I feel that entering the Grid is different once the sun goes down!
Denisse, I hope you've found this information helpful. If you have any more planning questions, feel free to stop back by
planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you create magical moments in the theme parks!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
