What happens if I book a vacation through WDW Travel company for Fall 2011 now, and I have to change my dates later? Will my $200 deposit still apply, or do I lose it? I really want to take advantage of the great free dining offer.

    Hi Kristi!

How smart are you for booking free dining NOW?  Pretty smart, I'd say!   We really enjoy using the Disney Dining Plan while on vacation, and getting it free is just 'icing on the cake'!

If you book now and need to change your dates your $200 deposit will transfer to your dates.  If you modify your reservation less that 45 days prior to arrival, you make incur additional charges.  There are a couple of issues with changing dates once booked:  1.  there are only a certain amount of rooms available with that promotion, so you might have to change resorts to still get that deal, OR 2.  there is a possibility that all the rooms available for that promotion are booked and you would no longer have free dining.  Be aware of those two issues when choosing dates.

Many times, if you book 5 days and just want to add additional days on, there isn't an issue, but changing your arrival date will.  Keep these things in mind when planning.

    Have a magical vacation!
