Hi Tiffani!
Thanks so much for stopping by to see us at planDisney! Each of here at planDisney always appreciates an opportunity to share travel tools and tips from our own Disney destination vacations.
I think it's so great to hear that you're planning a bit of magic for someone by helping them visit The Most Magical Place on Earth. To understand the best process for purchasing tickets in your scenario, I'm going to suggest you go straight to the magical source and
speak with the friendly Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort by calling 407-934-7639. The Cast Members at ticketing can guide you with the best process based on the details of your situation, and I'm confident they'll be happy to help you make some magic.
In general, when you pick up Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets at Will Call, you need to present your photo ID, the original payment method used to purchase the tickets, and the purchase confirmation number or confirmation email. When picking up Florida Resident tickets you purchased for the theme parks, you need to present proof that you're a
Florida resident.
Previously, when purchasing theme park tickets, there was an option during the checkout process to indicate that the tickets were a gift, and you could enter the gift recipient's name and information. I had thought that perhaps this might be an approach that could work for you. However, in looking into your question, I learned from Walt Disney World Resort Guest Services that the option to purchase tickets as a gift is not currently available on the
DisneyWorld.com website, nor is that option available when purchasing tickets over the phone.
One additional quick reminder, Tiffani, is that the Guest visiting the theme parks will need to have theme park reservations made through the
Disney Park Pass system in addition to the valid theme park admission that you'll be purchasing for their theme park admission.
I'm hopeful that there's an easy option for you in your specific scenario that enables you to provide a pixie-dusted surprise in the form of theme park tickets to visit Walt Disney World Resort. It's a wonderful and generous gift on your part.
Here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day!
Jerry
