What happens if I make ADR and then the # in my party changes? May have more family coming but we won't know for sure until after our reservations are booked. Is it a big problem to change party size, could we lose the reservation if changes are needed?

    Hi Heidi,

It is always easier to change your Advanced Dining Reservations for less people than it is to add more. The restaurants have a limited number of large tables. In addition, they generally will book to capacity, so adding extra people is not always an option. I would suggest that you book your reservations to include the additional family members that you think may be coming. That way if they can make it, you're all set. If not, then you can drop them from your reservation and it will free up table for another family. You'll make someone's day that way!

Sometimes, Guests will have a family member join them at the last minute. In those cases, it is best to call 407-WDW-DINE and try to add them to the reservation. If it can't be changed, you can arrive for your Reservation and let the Cast Member know that you have an additional Guest. I can't guarantee that they will be able to accommodate the extra person, because it depends on table sizes/seats available, etc, but it's worth a try. I do know numerous people who have been able to add an extra guest (or two) this way. However, I also know some who were not able to (especially at places like Cinderella's Royal Table).

Essentially, it is always better to be safe than sorry, so I recommend that you add the potential Guests to your party from the beginning.

Hope this helps and have a Magical vacation,
