Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! I always get so excited whenever I see fellow québécois Guests in our queue, so I knew I had to answer your question. Plus, I love using MagicBands while on my Disney vacations, so I am so glad you decided to use them too.
As you probably know, MagicBand purchases are final, and therefore, they would still get delivered regardless of when you cancelled your vacation. However,
MagicBands ordered by Canadian Guests are usually available at your Resort's front desk. In the past, I have been able to ask front desk Cast Members to let a friend pick up a package for me, but it was in person. For that reason, I would highly recommend that you
call a Disney Cast Member to see if this could be done. For instance, they may ask for your friends' information for security purposes. Otherwise, they will be able to advise you on the following steps.
Now, Josee, have you heard about the brand new
MagicBand+, which has been available since this summer? Not only does it include the same features as previous MagicBands that we know and love, but it also allows you to engage in the magic in brand-new ways. Personally, I am particularly excited to try the
Disney Fab 50 Quest and the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters on my next trip as you get to interact with your surroundings. Indeed, if you remember playing the Kim Possible or Phineas and Ferb interactive games at EPCOT, you will enjoy those activities too. Cancelling a Disney vacation is never fun, but at least there are so many new things waiting for you when you do reschedule your trip!
