What happened to the bead outpost in epcot? Is it gone for good or relocate?

Jambo, Doris! I had the great pleasure of visiting Epcot’s Africa pavilion this week and did some bead-hunting in order to get you an answer to your artsy and creative question!

The Bead Outpost in Africa was a unique place to purchase a souvenir that was made by African artists from paper, recycled items and even Disney park maps. Each bead was a singular item, allowing a guest to create their own look while supporting the jewelry artists. The Outpost was removed for the Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival, but it is not known at this time if that Bead Outpost will return. Perhaps on your next vacation, stop by Africa and I will cross my fingers for you that it returns!

If you would like to make a necklace of your own in an out-of-this-world style, I recommend park hopping over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom to Pandora, where you can find Windtraders. There you can purchase a string-your-own necklace with inspiring totems, beads, gems and more. It’s certainly a way to make a one of a kind statement for yourself. Please let me know if you have any more questions! ~ Lindsey P.
