What would happen if someone in your dining party had to cancel last minute? say 3 hours before it went from a party of 5 to a party of 3 .

    Hi Sarah,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question.

I’ve actually been in a position where people who were supposed to join us for a meal at Walt Disney World Resort were no longer able to do so, either due to illness that day or because they weren’t able to travel. I’ve never had a problem reducing the number of Guests for a given dining reservation; I simply told the host or hostess who greeted us when we checked-in for our reservation that there were fewer people dining with us and they were able to accommodate our reduced party size.

If you know that two members of your party definitely won’t be able to join you for your upcoming dining reservations, as a courtesy to your fellow Guests, I strongly encourage you to modify your dining reservation in your My Disney Experience account and reduce the number of Guests in your party.

Please don't hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

Meet the Panelist: Lynne, Quebec

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
