Do you happen to know which sections of Jamaica in Caribbean Beach Resort have connecting rooms? There’s a resort special offer for one 5th sleeper room available, but we’re unsure if to exchange it with one of our standard rooms if we want connecting room

    Hello Xiao!

Welcome again to planDisney! You are eagerly planning for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World and I am sure you are all so very excited. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has so many wonderful positives like access to the Disney Skyliner, Sebastian's Bistro, and the Fuentes del Morro Pool. Your family will find so many ways to have a great time in this tropical retreat!

I love that you found a Special Offer for your trip and I wonder if it is the one where guests who stay 5 Nights or longer this Summer can get up to 30% off room rates. This deal is applied to certain rooms and can be limited in number. If you are finding the room types you want then you should reach out to Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to make the change! They may have to cancel or modify your existing reservation to apply the Special Offer. I remember when I tried to apply a Special Offer to my existing reservation I had to move to a different room type as that was all that was available. I was willing to be flexible and it worked out to be a great deal. I did some research regarding the rooms you are interested in and found the following:

-The Standard View- 5th Sleepers are only available in Trinidad, Jamaica, and Aruba sections of Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

    - Water or Pool View-5th Sleeper options are available in all the buildings.

    - Regular standard rooms are only available in Jamaica buildings 41-46 and Aruba buildings 51-56. Regular Standard View rooms have connecting options with both the Standard View-5th Sleeper and Water or Pool View-5th Sleeper option in the Jamaica and Aruba buildings I noted above. However, they may be limited and may not be included in the special offer you may have found.

Making room requests is not guaranteed Xiao, but I suggest you try. Speak to Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and see if they can assist with the request you wish to make. The last time I stayed at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort I was able to get a connecting room with my in-laws and it was a Standard Room connected to a Standard View-5th Sleeper. Due to our Special Offer, I wasn't able to get the combination of two 5th Sleeper rooms together as none were available. It worked out for us in the end and we still had a great time. You can also ask to see if you can get rooms near each other or on the same floor if connecting options are not available. Online check-in options do not let you make detailed room requests which is why I suggest calling as soon as possible. Realize however that these requests are not guaranteed and it is sometimes just a few days before you arrive that your actual room is assigned and it will not be informed to you till the day you arrive. Things could happen in that time that changes your plans. It may leave you in suspense but prepare yourself for any possibility. Remember, you are in Walt Disney World and a day here is more magical than a day at work. (At least that's what I tell myself.)

I hope that this was helpful and you find the magic for yourself this August!

    Happy Planning!
