Hi Sarah,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a great question! When my little guy was a baby, I often ordered diapers and other baby essentials from Amazon and had them shipped straight to my
Disney Resort Hotel. It was a great way to cut down on how much I needed to lug through the airport during our travels!
I checked this information with both Bell Services and the
Lobby Concierge at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and I’m told that the
fee for having packages delivered depends on whether they’re grocery items or non-grocery items. If they’re grocery items or items shipped via Amazon Prime Now, then the $6 fee is typically charged per order, if you don’t pick your order up from Bell Services yourself.
If you’re just shipping packages by mail from a retailer like Amazon (including regular Amazon Prime), then you’ll typically see a charge of $5 per box (sometimes less if everything arrives together, on the same day) on your Guest Folio at the end of your stay.
As for the
in-room refrigerators, they do typically have a small freezer compartment, but I don’t find it’s always that efficient at keeping things truly frozen, especially if it’s overstuffed. I wouldn’t recommend trying to store popsicles in there, during your stay as they may not stay completely frozen. The compartments were, however, fine for teething rings, for example.
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming stay. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us for even more tips and tricks about visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a little one. We’re happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
