We are handicapped. We will be at WDW Dec 6-18, 2015 and we will be using ECV's. We are NOT staying on Disney property. I will be using an old ticket (no expiration); my friend will have a new ticket. What happens if we do or do not use FastPass+?

Hi, Diane!  You are absolutely under no obligation to utilize the FastPass+ system, although especially considering you are both disabled, you might find it will help you save wait time and help the day go a bit more smoothly.

FastPass+ allows you to pre-book attractions at any of the Walt Disney World theme parks.  You can use these in combination with the Disability Access Service card, which works in a similar way to the FastPass+.  With the DAS card, you will be given a return time to come back to an attraction that is approximately the same time you would have had to wait in line at the attraction.  With FastPass+, you can book your attraction times before you get to the theme parks, and know you will have a minimal wait time at those three attractions.

If you choose not to use the FastPass+ options, there are really no consequences except losing out on that advantage at the attractions you choose.  You will always be able to wait in the regular queue, or you can use the Disability Access Service card.

I hope this answers your question!  Have a wonderful visit!
