Is there a handicapped version for flight of Passage? Do you have to transfer to ride vehicle?

Hello Terri and thanks for bringing such an important question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Oh boy! I can just imagine how excited you must be about visiting Pandora - The World of Avatar during your upcoming magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort; it's sure to be beyond belief!
I'm happy to share that there are many Services for Guests with Disabilities at Walt Disney World Resort and for your added information I also thought you may find this PDF - Disability Map of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to be an extra useful planning resource for your visit.
The Avatar Flight of Passage Attraction is indeed accessible for disabled Guests; Guests must transfer to a standard wheelchair and then on to ride vehicle, plus a transfer practice vehicle and a transfer access device is also available for use upon request from the nearest Attraction Cast Member.
Before leaving Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, be sure to stop by Windtraders to check out all the interesting Pandora - The World of Avatar merchandise on offer including the Banshee Rookery where Guests can be matched to their very own Mountain Banshee.
    Have a great Disney day.
