Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Teresa! I am so happy that you stopped by!
Teresa, you are welcome to use any taxi or rideshare service that you would like (including Uber or Lyft) to get back and forth between the theme parks and your resort, including handicap-accessible vehicles. But did you know that the Walt Disney World Resort
transportation system was designed to accommodate those with
mobility issues?
Each
bus can fit 2 wheelchairs or ECVs, and there is often a sperate loading and unloading area to allow those that need assistance more time and space to board. Once the bus arrives, and before anyone is loaded on, the driver will offload a ramp and assist with the maneuvering of the wheelchair or ECV before securing it. The entire party traveling with those with mobility issues may also board at the same time.
Other transportation methods throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, including the
Monorail, all-new
Skyliner, and the majority of the
ferries, are accessible as well.
If you are looking for an on-demand form of transportation, the
Minnie Van Service does have handicapped accessible vehicles. To book an accessible Minnie Van, instead of ordering on the Lyft app, call (407) 828-3500, and a dispatcher will take down your details, confirm the approximate price, and send one your way.
I hope that this answered your question, Teresa, and please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can be of any assistance.
Have a magical day!
Sarah B.
