Ahoy there, Mark! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by.
With a Disney Cruise in your future, it's common to wonder
what to pack in your suitcases and what is best left at home. I'm happy to share that handheld game consoles are allowed to be brought on board with you. For a list of items that are prohibited on board,
visit this link.
Do you have any children, tweens, or teens in your sailing crew? My son spent a lot of time in Edge on the Disney Magic last month and he had a blast playing video games with his fellow cruisers. You'll find gaming consoles available in the
youth clubs. Adults are also permitted to visit these youth spaces when Open Houses are scheduled throughout your cruise. So whether you pack a handheld game console or not, you and your travel party will have opportunities to enjoy video games onboard.
Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you leave home. Once you step aboard the ship, you'll be able to view the activity schedule for your entire voyage, and you can look for those Open Houses if you are interested. If you see any activities that you'd like to participate in, be sure to click the heart icon next to the activity in the schedule. The app will send you a reminder so that you don't miss out on the items you have "favorited".
Before leaving home, you can use the app to reserve activities, check-in for your cruise (30 days prior to your embarkation date) and countdown the days till the fun begins with a character-filled countdown! I hope your excitement is growing with every day that passes.
Please sail to planDisney again if you have any further questions for us. My pals and I are always happy help. Have a wonderful voyage and say hi to Captains Minnie and Mickey for me.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
