Hi Christina,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy to hear that you’re going on a friend's trip! Visiting the parks with friends is always a spectacular time, and with the 70th anniversary of Disneyland happening throughout the year, it’s the perfect time to celebrate. Halloween is also an amazing time to visit; the decorations are absolutely the best, in my opinion.
As you mentioned, there’s a lot of new and returning entertainment coming to the parks to celebrate the anniversary. Typically, the regular fireworks and shows pause for the holiday celebrations. We will likely see
Wonderous Journey pause to make room for
Halloween Screams and late "
Believe...In Holiday Magic."
We will likely see the parades pause as Cast Members prepare for the Frightful Fun parade that takes place during the Oogie Boogie Bash and
A Christmas Fantasy Parade. It is possible that
World of Color Happiness and the
Celebrate Happy Cavalcade will continue during the holiday season, but nothing has been announced yet. I recommend checking the
Hours and Events calendar closer to your trip. You can usually view the calendar up to 40 days in advance, so be sure to check back in late August or September to see what’s available during your visit.
Christina, I noticed that your trip is around some of the Oogie Boogie Bash dates! We’re almost halfway to Halloween (April 30/May 1), so I’m hoping Disney will start sharing more details soon about what’s coming for Halloween Time 2025. Hopefully, we’ll also get a concrete date for when Oogie Boogie Bash tickets will go on sale. Be sure to follow
@DisneyParksBlog on Instagram to stay up to date with all the Halloween news!
I hope this information was helpful, Christina. If you have any other questions, need additional help, or would love more advice, please feel free to write back to me or any of my fellow panelists—we’d be happy to assist.
Happy Planning!
Melinda
