When does Halloween season end at Disneyland and when does Christmas season start?

Howdy, Vicky! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question!

Halloween Time and The Holidays are two of the most spectacular times to visit the Disneyland Resort! Halloween Time officially ends when the parks close on Halloween night. Then right away Cast Members begin transitioning the parks to The Holidays. In fact, they started early this year and there is already snow on Sleeping Beauty castle right now! The crews are pretty fast and guests will start noticing festive garland and lights up at both parks in early November. One time I visited on November 4 and the huge Christmas tree was already up in Disneyland Park. Officially, The Holidays begin on November 12, 2021 and last until January 9, 2022.

While decorations start going up right away, special holiday entertainment like A Christmas Fantasy Parade and Believe...in Holiday Magic nighttime spectacular don't kick off until the 12th. In addition to entertainment, there are seasonal overlays at select attractions in both parks and oodles of holiday goodies to try. Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the coming week to see if they announce any other special offerings and if the world-famous Disneyland candy canes will return this year.

I hope your visit to the Disneyland Resort is full of magic and memories!
