Hello, Jim,
Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is so much fun. Having a chance to dress up in costumes (this is optional) and go trick or treating throughout the Magic Kingdom is a great way to make many magical memories. In addition,
Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade and the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular are amazing. I especially love the
fireworks that are even more magical during the party. You will also have a chance to meet some characters in costume as well as some unique ones that are often only greeting guests at the party. Similarly, there may be some special magic shots from
Disney's PhotoPass. With so many things to do, I have found it to be an incredible evening.
When we went when our children were younger, I was surprised by how easily they became night-owls as they were caught up in all the excitement. We also had made sure that they had taken a long afternoon nap beforehand, and we let them sleep in the following morning. However, everyone's children are different. To help you make a better decision about the special event, I'd like to suggest that you look at videos about Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on YouTube. They will allow you to see first-hand what the parades, characters, fireworks, candy, and crowds are like. By doing that, I think you'll gain a much better perspective to see if it would be worthwhile for your family, especially if you end up not staying for the entire party.
Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -Kara
