Halloween @magic kingdom, Oct. 10: Will we have to leave the park at 6-7 pm during the transition? are buckets included in the price to put candy in? Is the Trick or treat on Main st. only? are rides still operating then? can candy be sent to our room?

Hi Amanda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Oh boy! You will be enjoying a night at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party very soon! There are so many things to love about this event, but some of my favorites are the Headless Horseman, lots of candy, and dance parties! You are sure to experience lots of laughs and haunts at this spook-tastic event.

If you are already in Magic Kingdom Park before the party begins, you do not have to exit the theme park and re-enter. There will be stations around the theme park for you to pick up your wristband for the event and this wristband shows Cast Members that you are good-to-go for the party. They usually start verifying tickets for the party and putting on wristbands around 4:00 PM and you can ask a nearby Cast Member for the nearest wristband station.

Complimentary bags are available for trick-or-treating. The Cast Members that are around for the party may have some bags available, but I suggest heading towards the entrance of the theme park and picking one up there. There are also party maps and a special walkway with treats that can only be accessed from that area which is why I suggest beginning your night there.

When you grab the party map, you can take a look at the trick-or-treat stations ... they are located all over the theme park! It is easy to fill up your bag with the many treats that will be available as you make your way around Magic Kingdom Park. Since candy cannot be sent to your room and you will need to carry it with you, you may want to wait until you've experienced some of the other party events before filling your bag. My family enjoys eating some of our candy while we are waiting for parades and other shows to begin, so you may want to grab a few pieces early, though! You can also check the map for the attractions that are available. Almost all rides are still operating during the party, so you will have a lot to do!

I hope this helps, Amanda! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
