Ahoy there, Lindsey, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like your
Halloween on the High Seas sailing is just around the riverbend, so I’d be happy to help you plan your packing list.
From what I can tell, it seems like you're planning a vacation aboard the
Disney Wish later this week. If that's the case, you can expect to keep it casual for your first dinner aboard. Night 2, after a stop in Nassau, is when you’ll want to pull out your pirate garb to celebrate
Pirate Night with your fellow scalawags. And dressing up isn’t limited to the Guests; even your favorite Disney friends will be wearing their finest pirate outfits. Assuming Jack Sparrow and his crew don’t cause too much trouble, you can also expect to see fireworks at sea after the
Deck Party that night.
If you’re also planning to coordinate Halloween costumes with your crew, Night 3 is the night to get dressed up. Just make sure to follow
Disney’s costume guidelines. In addition to trick or treating, you’ll be treated to another deck party, Mickey’s Mousequerade. And all this comes after an amazing day spent on Disney’s private island,
Castaway Cay. It’s my favorite place to soak up the sun and float in the ocean, all in Disney style!
My best advice is to download the free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before embarkation day and refer back to it regularly during your trip for the most up-to-date schedules. It’s also my favorite resource for finding daily specials on everything from Senses Spa to Port Adventures. Speaking of, the
Castaway Cay Getaway Package includes everything you need to enjoy a day of snorkeling, floating, and biking while at port.
Disney Cruises during this time of year are always spooktakular, Lindsey! I know it’s fun to dress up, but remember that this is your cruise, so whether you participate in the theme nights or not is completely up to you. We’re always here at
planDisney to help if any more questions bubble up before your departure date.
Bon voyage,
Sami
