Hi Kristin! Thanks for bringing such a great question to planDisney! Not only do I appreciate your advanced planning, but I'm also excited to answer a question about my favorite Walt Disney World Resort special event -
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! While the event is not being held this year, I will give you details based upon my previous visits to the best party of the year!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event held on select nights, from late-summer to Halloween night, at
Magic Kingdom Park. It would not be covered by your general admission ticket. This devilishly delightful party is traditionally held from 7:00PM through 12 midnight. The park closes to all other Guests during the party! Only party ticket-holders are allowed to remain. A bonus tip - in the past, ticket holders for this event have been admitted to the park as early as 4:00PM! Take advantage of this benefit if it continues in the future!
In addition to almost all of the Magic Kingdom attractions being open, there are frightfully fantastic fireworks shows, parades featuring our favorite characters in their Halloween costumes, and delicious Disney desserts all in a Halloween theme! Your kids (and you too) get the extra bonus of being able to say that they went trick-or-treating through Magic Kingdom Park! There are candy (and apple cider) giveaways located throughout the park all night!
Kristin, save yourself a little money by making your night at the Halloween party your visit to Magic Kingdom Park. I think you'll be able to do everything that you want in the park during the party without having to visit another day. The cost of the Halloween party ranges from about $84 early in the season to about $125 the closer you get to Halloween. Prices are highest, as are the crowds, on Halloween night. All prices are based on previous party dates and are subject to change for possible future dates.
Thanks for letting me revisit the party by providing this answer! I hope it's helpful as you continue planning your 2021 visit!
Hakuna Matata (and Happy Halloween)! Jonathan G.
