Donna, you are coming at a perfect time for some extra Disney Halloween magic!
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is indeed the main event for the parks during this time but if you can't get a ticket for this party there will still be plenty of fun for you and your family to experience. On October 30 and 31 Downtown Disney will be alive with young and old costumed trick or treaters. Many of the stores will hand out candy and there will be an abundant amount of entertainment throughout the area. There will be a variety of street performers such as stilt walkers and magicians making this an exciting time for Downtown Disney and families!
Many, but not all, resorts will also have special Halloween activities. You can check with your concierge or front desk what your resort has planned when you check-in. The biggest resort area that goes all out for this holiday is Fort Wilderness. There are cabin and site decorating contests, games, pet parade, golf cart parade, pumpkin carving contests, and many other special activities. This is also the place to go if you are interested in doing a haunted carriage ride! I experienced this for the first time last year and there are truly some surprises along the way! Please click

I am sure you will have a wonderful time at Disney this Halloween no matter where you decide to celebrate!
