Hi Hailey, and thanks for bringing your question to the planDisney Panel!
When it comes to dressing up at the Happiest Place on Earth, costumes worn by Guests 14 years of age or older are only permitted during special events, such as the
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party. If you are visiting during a regular park day, you must adhere to the official
Disneyland Resort Dress Code, which does not allow costumes for Guests 14 years of age or older.
One common way that Guests still have fun with their outfits while still respecting park rules and regulations is to "DisneyBound." DisneyBounding is when you dress in the color palette of one of your favorite characters and incorporate elements into your outfit that alludes to you being that character as well. A quick internet search will give you plenty of ideas on how you can make a DisneyBound come to life.
And, of course, if you do DisneyBound, you can use the
Disneyland Mobile App to see if the character that inspired your outfit is hanging out around the resort. I’m sure it would make for a truly magical photo opportunity.
Best wishes,
Lola
