Hiya, Roger!
Welcome to planDisney! Hip, hip, hooray! Your spooktacular adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth is officially a month away. Autumn is an amazing time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. You will find
ghoulish goodies, Mickey Pumpkins, and of course,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to the magic this year. And the Disney Parks Blog recently announced that this special ticket event will offer Disney's Not-So-Spooky Dessert parties during
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular! I just happen to be a huge fan of the dessert parties that take place at Magic Kingdom Park, and here are my tips to determine which option is best for your whole grim grinning ghostly crew.
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party will offer both a
Tomorrowland Terrace option and the
Plaza Garden Viewing choice. There are several pros to both, and honestly no real cons. It is really just going to be about preference. Let's start off with the Tomorrowland Terrace option and answer that question about view obstructions for this location. The overhang of Tomorrowland Terrace may be in your view line, but it offers minimal obstruction when it comes to viewing Cinderella Castle, or the dazzling fireworks. I will note that there are a few trees that may impact some of your views of full castle projections. This obstruction is also minimal. The real pro of this option is you have a designated seat for the show, which may be a perfect option if you had a long day in the parks and are hoping to stick around until the clock strikes 12. When it comes to Plaza Garden views, your spot will be located front(ish) and center. After you check in at Tomorrowland Terrace you will be taken to your table to enjoy the yummy treats and beverage offerings. When you are ready to head to the viewing area, return to the host stand and you will be escorted by a friendly Cast Member. You will be located in the reserved standing area in Plaza Garden which may not be right up front, but it certainly feels like it. I find the only real con of this option is there are no seats, you will need to stand for the fireworks. If your travel party wants to sit and give your legs a break, this may not be the best option. Both of these awesome events offer the same delightfully themed Halloween treats and sparkling beverages, beer, wine, lemonade, and more for your ghostly toasts. No matter which option you choose, you are sure to be left spellbound by the enchanting show.
I hope your upcoming adventure is frightfully fun!
We'll see ya real soon!
