With the Halloween cruise, if me and my girlfriend wants to do the incredibles an outfit composed of a shirt and clothes that resemble the look but not an complete costume itself? If I have a full Jedi outfit, would that count or just clothes to look it?

    Ahoy, Derrick!

Welcome aboard planDisney! A Halloween on the High Seas cruise is the perfect time to show off your creativity, and it sounds like you and your girlfriend already have some incredible (pun intended!) costume plans. One of my favorite things about these sailings is seeing how Guests of all ages put their own magical spin on costumes—it’s like walking through a Disney parade!

When it comes to costumes, here’s the scoop: costumes are absolutely welcome for Guests of all ages during special events and themed celebrations—including Pirate Night and Halloween on the High Seas festivities. Adults can only dress up during these special events, while kids have a bit more freedom and can wear costumes at any time.

Disney loves when Guests join in the fun, whether you’re channeling your inner Mr. and Mrs. Incredible or bringing the Force to sea as a Jedi. Outfits inspired by characters—like a themed shirt and accessories rather than a full costume—are a fantastic way to show off your Disney side, and they fit perfectly within the guidelines. But even full costumes are welcome as long as you follow a few important guidelines (because even Captain Jack Sparrow has to follow some shipboard rules):

    • Costumes should be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
    • Full-face coverings or masks can only be worn when stationary (like at character photo spots) and need to be removed while walking around the ship.
    • Guests can’t pose for photos with other Guests or sign autographs as the character they’re dressed as—leave that to our Disney pals onboard.
    • Avoid props that look like weapons (lightsabers are usually fine, but blasters and swords generally aren’t allowed).

Halloween on the High Seas nights are some of my favorite evenings at sea—there’s something extra magical about seeing ghosts, princesses, and superheroes all sharing the same deck party under the stars.

I hope this helps as you plan your spook-tacular outfits for your Halloween on the High Seas sailing. You’re going to have so much fun showing off your incredible Disney style, and I can’t wait for you to experience all the festive magic that comes with this special sailing. It’s going to be a Halloween night where the only thing scary is how quickly the cruise flies by!

Sea ya real soon with a July full of fireworks at sea and memories that sparkle like pixie dust,
