We have only 1 half-day at Disney's Animal Kingdom, so I'm planning very carefully. If my Fastpass tells me to arrive at the Kilimanjaro safari between 2:15 and 3:15, is that the duration of the ride or is the ride scheduled to begin at 3:15?

Hi Carolyn, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It looks like you're at the right place! We're huge planners who love to help families make the most of their trips to the Walt Disney World Resort.

If your FastPass+ is between 2:15 and 3:15, it means that you can enter the FastPass+ line between those times. Considering the 22 minutes of the inspiring ride through the Kilimanjaro Safaris and a short line, you can count on exiting it by 2:45 if you enter the line at precisely 2:15.

Magical Tip: After using the three FastPass+ reservations you'll book before arriving, you can select more through the My Disney Experience App, one at a time. The system will be available for your next selection right after you scan your ticket or MagicBand at the entrance of the attraction. My husband and I always do it immediately to make the most of our time.

I truly hope your trip is unforgettable and that you enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The food at the Flame Tree Barbecue is delicious, as are the offerings at Satu'li Canteen. Both restaurants participate on the Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and using it is one of the best ways to save time by avoiding lines. You will simply place your order through the My Disney Experience App and then let the restaurant know when you arrive to pick it up. It truly feels like magic!

Please stop by if you have any other doubts, Carolyn - we love to help!

May the magic be with you,
