Welcome to planDisney, Kathy!
Thanks for stopping by with a question about Disney’s Water Parks, they are the perfect place to go to beat the summer heat. With the
2025 Water Park benefit, Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel receive complimentary admission to either
Typhoon Lagoon or
Blizzard Beach on check in day - it’s a great way to kick off a Disney vacation!
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have many water slides, play areas for kids in addition to other water attractions including a lazy river where you can float your cares away. I was at Blizzard Beach earlier this Spring and took advantage of the Water Park benefit. After a few slides, I headed to
Cross Country Creek, a 3,000-foot-long lazy river. While looking for the perfect tube to float on, I discovered a half-inner tube, and I can tell you, it was perfect! It’s a crescent shaped inflatable tube and there’s a sling for the seat. When sitting, your body from the chest down is in the water and your shoulders and arms are out of the water (you can hold onto the handles if you’d like) and you are in a sitting position. While most of the tubes I saw were singles, I did spot several double tubes in addition to the odd half-tube.
I hope this gives you an idea what kind of tubes are available at the water parks. I checked with a Cast Member and they shared that the half-tubes are available at both water parks so Guests can enjoy these new types of floatables no matter which park you choose to enjoy!
Tip: Towels are complimentary for Disney Resort hotel Guests! Just swing by Singapore Sal’s at Typhoon Lagoon or the Beach Haus at Blizzard Beach and let a Cast Member know how many you need for your visit.
Have the best time floating at the water parks and be sure to have fun splashing in the waves!
Happy planning,
Candace
