I be hah major surgery cannot come for three months. Are the magic keys extendable under there circumstances

    Hi Frank!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your Disneyland Resort Magic Key question to us hEAR. I'm Kristen, your planEAR today!

Oh no, Frank! I'm so sorry that you'll be having surgery soon! I hope you have a lot of great Disney movies to watch on Disney+. When you start to miss The Happiest Place on Earth be sure to check in with the Disney Parks Blog as well as the Disneyland Magic Key Instagram account. There is even a pretty neat feature called 'Disney Parks Stories' that you can pull up from home that's full of history, pictures, nostalgia, and fun! It's kind of buried in the Disneyland Mobile App; when you tap on it, it opens like a folder with even more tabs inside. My favorites are the 'Ask an Imagineer' series that goes behind the scenes or dives into Disney details on specific attractions, as well as 'Designing Disney Parks' and 'Magic Moments in History'.

Typically yes, Disneyland does offer pauses in Magic Key annual pass memberships for big medical reasons, such as a major surgery. I do want to mention that any pause granted will usually only benefit the Keyholder who is having the surgery; any passes held by your ride buddies in your family or household or that are drafting from the same account (ex: a spouse, a child who doesn't live at home, etc) will not be paused. To inquire about how to make this move, you'll need to call the Magic Key Holder phone line at (714) 781-7277.

I hope you feel better soon, Frank, and that you don't have to sit out on everyone else's Disney days too long. Be sure to also follow the official planDisney Instagram account for all kinds of fun Disney Parks tips and tricks. We even just launched a brand new planDisney Podcast! And if you have any more Disneyland Resort Magic Key questions, We're All Ears!
