Hi Guys The family is driving down for a Disney Christmas vacation Please advise how CHECK IN works Can we enter the parks before check in time at the resort ? We hope to arrive early morning --please advise if we need to go to resort first ??

The holiday season is a wonderful time of year to journey to Walt Disney World. The decorations, music and festive events bring even more magic to this amazing world of fantasy.

So, let's get your family to those parks!

Do you have a WDW vacation package? Do you have your tickets already purchased from the Disney Store, the local AAA office or perhaps from an online ticket broker such as Undercover Tourist? If you have your tickets in hand, you could go directly to the parks.

If you have purchased a vacation package, your tickets will be waiting for you at Check In and will be added to your Key to the World Card. Therefore in order to get to the parks, you must first go to your resort. Also, you will receive a parking pass at your resort which will permit you to enter the theme park's parking lot without paying the daily fee.

If you have your tickets already in hand, you could drive directly to the WDW park of your choice.

If you arrive your resort prior to the official check in time and your room is not ready, you'll still be given your Key to the World card. You can charge purchases to your room account, if you choose for room charging privileges to be available on your card. You'll also be set up with your dining plan, if applicable. Your theme park tickets will be ready to use!

If your room is ready, you'll also be given your room number, even if it is not official check in time. In the off-season we've been given our room as early as 9 a.m. If your room is not ready, you'll be completely checked in except for your room assignment.

Have a Merry Disney Christmas vacation!
