Ahoy there, Kristin!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question about
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea. We enjoyed one of these best-of-both-world vacations for my dad's 70th birthday. It is a fantastic way to enjoy two magical vacations in one.
When it comes to planning your Land and Sea vacation, you have several
Disney Cruise Line Cruise departure dates to choose from aboard the Disney Dream, the Disney Fantasy or the brand new Disney Wish. You can either book a few days at Walt Disney World Resort prior to boarding your sailing to the great wide somewhere or you can add it for after your cruise.
Our family enjoyed four days at
Walt Disney World Resort and then took the Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation to Port Canaveral, where we boarded our Disney ship for a four-day Caribbean cruise. It was a great way to rest our walking legs and relax - flippin' our fins in the Disney Cruise Line pool and at
Cast Away Cay, Disney Cruise Line's private island in the Bahamas. It is truly one of the best ways to have your magic and pixie dust too.
Kristin, if you are interested in booking a Disney Vacations by Land and Sea package, you can do so one of two ways. You can call
Disney Cruise Line for assistance, who can book both your cruise and add your Walt Disney World vacation to your trip. Alternatively, you can book it yourself by reserving your Disney Cruise Line cruise first and then booking your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Be sure that your hotel Check-In or Check-Out date aligns with the day of your Disney Cruise Line sailing depending on which order you plan to do your Land and Sea vacation. You can arrange ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line based on whether your hotel stay will be before or after your cruise as well. You can book your theme park tickets and your theme park reservation while booking your Disney Resort Hotel.
I hope this helps you plan the most magical vacation on earth, Kristin. If I can help you any further planning your Disney Vacation Land and Sea adventure, come back and
see me here at planDisney. I will be so happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
