You guys are phenomenal. Here's us: First Disney Vacay. Family of 6. DD 7, 5, 3, 8mos. Florida Residents. Vacay time 10/23-10/28. Where should we stay? What passes should we buy? What about Character Breakfast (princesses)?

    Hi Julie!

Thanks for visiting us here on the Moms Panel! I would love to go over all the details that go into planning your magical vacation, but since I am limited by how much I can write, I will start by going over your resort stay options. Feel free to submit follow up questions for the rest of your questions!

To help you narrow down your resort options, first decide what kind of accommodations you would like. Often times, your budget will help decide this, but in your case, you should also consider your resort based on of the size of your family.

If you have a Value resort in mind, you will be limited to the All Star Music Family Suite (sleeps up to 6 guests). These family suites feature a kitchenette, two restrooms, a queen size bed in one room, and double-size sleeper sofa, and two twin-size sleeper chairs in the second room.

Onto the Moderate resort category. The Port Orleans Riverside resort features some rooms with a trundle bed (in the Alligator Bayou buildings), and  can accommodate your youngest in a crib. The second option is a Cabin in Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, which offers a full kitchen and a room with a double bed and a bunk bed, plus a pull down double bed in the living room.

If a Deluxe resort is more your style, the list of options grows. All of the following are great choices: Disney's Polynesian, Disney's Contemporary, The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, The Beach Club, The Yacht Club, and The Boardwalk Inn.

These options are varied, and I understand the need for choosing just the right one for your family's first magical vacation. Rest assured that each has it's own appeal and you will be eligible for those great Disney Resort guest perks, such as extra magic hours, at any of the resorts I have mentioned. Browse through them, and once you have narrowed down which ones fit your family's vacation needs, feel free to come back for additional advice.
